Sizokuthola presenter Xolani Khumalo has been charged with murder.

Popular television host of Sizokuthola, Xolani Khumalo, has been granted R20,000 bail after being charged with murder. The state did not oppose his bail application, suggesting a lack of strong evidence against Khumalo at this stage.

The charges against Khumalo stem from the death of Robert “Kicks” Varrie, an alleged drug dealer who was reportedly interrogated by the TV host. Khumalo handed himself over to Katlehong North police station on Tuesday morning. The host of the drug-busting show Sizokuthola surrendered himself for questioning. Following the interrogation, Khumalo was charged with murder.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Robert “Kicks” Varrie remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. The courtroom was filled with supporters and fans of Khumalo, who anxiously awaited the outcome of the bail hearing.
