Police detectives are hunting for the shooters who shot two people in Langa on Wednesday 22 February.
Police spokeswoman Nowonga Sukwana said one of the deceased people was confirmed as a 48-year-old taxi owner.
“Langa Police detectives are seeking community assistance in tracing and arresting suspects who were involved in two separate shooting incidents. The first incident happened on Wednesday, 22 February 2023 at about 21:00, at Zone 17, Langa.
“Police were alerted about a shooting incident and they proceeded to the scene and upon arrival, they found a body of a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The 48-year-old man was later identified as a taxi owner,” said Sukwana.
On the same day, in a separate incident at about 21:30 police were alerted about a 37-year-old man who was in the hospital with gunshot wounds. He later died due to the gunshots.
Ezitshisayo source who witnessed the second incident said the 37-year-old was a taxi driver.
