Hit goes wrong: Inkabi shot wrong ‘side chick’

A woman from KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa has been arrested after allegedly plotting the murder of her boyfriend’ ‘side chick’. The 30-year-old woman, along with four suspected hitmen, planned the murder which tragically resulted in the death of the intended victim’s mother, Khombisile Zuma, aged 63.

The group appeared before the Estcourt magistrate’s court on September 28th, where the case was postponed until October 10th. This is to give the accused time to secure legal representation. Police reports state that the suspect, accompanied by the four men, traveled to Ntabamhlophe to carry out the planned hit. However, they mistakenly shot and killed the mother of the intended victim instead.

Colonel Robert Netshiunda, a police spokesperson, revealed that the woman initially claimed to have hitched a ride with the four men. However, preliminary investigations revealed that she was, in fact, the owner of the vehicle used in the crime. “All five suspects were arrested, and one of them was found with blood stains on his clothing,” said Colonel Netshiunda.

Shortly after the incident, the police were alerted and managed to intercept the getaway vehicle near the Mooi River Toll Plaza. It was discovered that one of the suspects was already a wanted hitman in connection with other murder cases. Upon searching the suspects, the police found a firearm along with three rounds of ammunition in their possession.
