An 18-year-old woman from Gqeberha has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her mother’s boyfriend to death on Sunday 16 April in the morning. The incident happened in Gqeberga on Fitchard Street, Helenvale.
It is alleged that the couple had an argument over an undisclosed matter early in the morning. The teenage girl was inside her bedroom when the mother and her boyfriend where arguing. As the argument heated, the girl allegedly walked out of her bedroom and intervened before stabbing the stepfather once on his chest. The man, aged 42 collapsed and died at the scene.
Police spokesperson from Priscilla Naidu confirmed the incident which she said happened at around 09:30 on Sunday morning. She added that the suspect has been arrested and will appear in court when charged.
