The shooting of a driver who was driving a grey Polo Vivo left Delft residents shocked. The driver was shot in a movie-like style at the intersection of Hindle Road and Symphony Way near Blikkiesdorp on Monday morning. The driver died inside his vehicle.
“I have seen shootings around here but this one was scary. They shot the driver while his car was moving while they were driving next to him. I lost count of the gunshot sounds that went off,” said a Blikkiesdorp resident.
When Ezitshisayo journalists arrived at the scene, the car had veered off the road just opposite the traffic lights. Cops had closed the road to protect the scene as bullets were all over the road surface. The car had over 20 bullet holes on the passenger side and the windscreen.
“They wanted to make sure that he is dead. The bullets were raining on the car. The killers then sped off heading Belhar direction,”| said a resident.
