A man left his vehicle at the car wash for the boys to have a spring cleaning but he didn’t expected what followed. After washing the vehicle, one of the boys from the car wash decided to have a feel of the popular VW Golf 7.
The incident happened on Sunday 28 July in Acornhoek along the R40 in Mpumalanga province. The accident was caught on a CCTV camera as the Golf 7 was clashing with a tipper. The incident happened when the driver of the Golf 7 tried to overtake but unfortunately collided with oncoming truck. It is alleged that the carwash employee didn’t ask for permission before driving the vehicle. It is alleged that the employee had gone to buy some detergents to use for the car wash.
The carwash employee who was the driver had his friend at the passenger seat who also died at the scene. The driver of the tipper truck and another person were seriously injured.
Many people on social media have blamed the owner of the vehicle for leaving the keys with the car wash employees. While others were feeling for the owner and imagined what explanation would he give to his insurance company.
