Police arrested a 69-year-old man with drugs at his house in the Rosendal area in Delft on Thursday.
Officers were conducting Operation Restore in Delft when they were tipped off about a drug den on Kallossie Street.
They went to the address, and on arrival at the address, they found an unknown man who immediately tried to flee.
Police gave a chase and arrested him. When they searched him, they found him with a loaded gun. After the arrest, they found out that the man is 24 years old.
Police arrested and charged him with the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

“The members continued with an intense search of the premises and confiscated drugs and cash. They arrested and detained a 69-year-old man on a charge of dealing drugs,” police spokesman Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi.
In Paarl, Dal Josafat area in Parl, officers arrested three suspects for breaking into a shop on Friday, June 16. The armed men entered and emptied the money from the shop and ran out.
While outside they fired shots at the shop but he shot back and injured one suspect. The gunshots alerted officers that were patrolling the area.
Cops arrested a 44-year-old man and confiscated a loaded pistol. He is facing business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition charges.
