A shooting in Ocean View near Fishhoek, Cape Town has left six men dead. The incident happened around 10:50 on Wednesday 12 April at a house in Neptune Lane. According to a resident from the area, the incident happened during load shedding.
Police said the killers entered in a house and fired shots at the occupants of the house killing five people instantly. The other one rushed to hospital where he died. Police spokeswoman Brigadier Novela Potelwa said cops are still at the scene.
“Crime scene experts are still combing the scene where six men were shot dead in Ocean View on this morning. Reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle pulled up in front of a house in Neptune Lane in Ocean View at approximately 10:50.
“The occupants of the vehicle went inside the house and started shooting at individuals inside the premises. Five men between the ages of 20 and 50 were as a result killed while a sixth person who was transported to a medical facility after sustaining gunshot wounds, was confirmed as having died upon arrival in hospital.
“Detectives from the provincial Anti-Gang unit are investigating six counts of murder. The motive for the shooting is suspected to be gang related with no arrests effected yet.
