Police in Cape Town are investigating a horrific incident whereby four people were found dead in a Cape Town leafy suburb of Constantia on Thursday 25 May. The gruesome finding has left Capetonians shocked.
According to police spokesman Colonel Andre Traut, the four bodies of two men and two women were found with gunshot wounds. Cops saod the deceased are believed to be between 40 to 50 years of age.
“At around 08:20 the bodies of two females and two males estimated to be aged between 40 and 50 were discovered with gunshot wounds. The victims are believed to be of Bulgarian descent. Police were summoned to the crime scene after the discovery was made. The motive for the multiple murders is yet to be determined, with detectives hard at work in search of clues. Serious and Violent Crime detectives have initiated an investigation into the murders,” said Traut.
The MEC for Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen said the discovery is gruesome and disheartening.
“It is disheartening to learn that 4 bodies with gunshot wounds were discovered on Thursday morning in Constantia. No details are available at this stage. I urge the public to assist all law enforcement agencies and make any information they might have, available,” said Allen.
The incident happens less than 24 hours after two people were shot and killed in Nyanga in a suspect vigilantism. Five others were hospitalised with serious injuries.
