South African actor Sthembiso “SK” Khoza, known for his role in the popular drama series, The River, has revealed on social media that he was physically assaulted by his girlfriend and is currently hospitalised in England.
The actor posted a video on his Instagram account that showed him lying in a hospital bed, with injuries visible all over his body. Khoza said that his fiancée, Choice Kate Mathebula, attacked him using anything available, from a spatula to a tin opener to a knife.
“I still don’t know why my girlfriend attacked me. My fiancée almost killed me. I have injuries all over my body right now,” said Khoza in the video, adding that he was going to open a case against his woman for her actions.
He also expressed his frustration with the fact that men who are physically abused by women are often too afraid to report it to the police and that he wanted to set an example by going public with his experience.
The news of Khoza’s assault has sparked outrage on social media, with many people expressing their support for him and calling for an end to gender-based violence. The hashtag #JusticeforSK is currently trending on Twitter, with people sharing messages of support for the actor and calling for his girlfriend to be held accountable for her actions.
There has been no statement from Mathebula about the incident. Khoza is a popular actor in South Africa, known for his roles in The Queen, Isibaya, and other popular television dramas. His fans and colleagues have taken to social media to express their shock and concern for his well-being.
